Bridal Magazine Photo Shoot

I had the honor of doing flowers for the Brazos Valley Bride magazine.  The theme was vintage with greys and a muted color pallet, which is kind of tricky with flowers.  I had so much fun coming up with unique vintage bouquets for the brides to model.  I tried to use unique details with each bouquet to make it special.

Lime Green and Brown Wedding

The Little wedding was held at the Greenbranch, which is a great outdoor and indoor wedding facility.  Lauren lived out of town, so we did a lot of the planning long distance.  I have a lot of brides who do not live in College Station who get married here.  Lauren wanted to do lime green and brown and we were able to give her that by using hypercrium berries that we painted dark brown.  We made pomander balls for the wedding that were also used at the reception in arrangements.  We used mini green hydrangeas in the reception arrangements to save on cost and added river rocks to give the arrangements a more earthy fill.  We also added curly willow with orchid buds to the head table arrangements to give them some interest and height.

The Toomey Wedding

Kate and Travis’s wedding was at Rock Lake Ranch and it was amazing. Rock Lake Ranch is the perfect place for an elegant, but rustic wedding. Kate really took the time to do little things to make her wedding different and unique. I had so much fun with all of the details. Her bouquet was a mixture of mainly whites, succulents and broaches she had collected from family members. There was even a special broach from Travis’s late wife who passed away with cancer. Kate wanted a very rustic look, but with elegance and bling. The reception arrangements were eclectic in that each was a little different and unique. We used lots of mercury glass and mosaic candle holders on the tables with the arrangements for extra light and to add to the elegance with rustic. We had arrangements with brass candlesticks, lanterns, wooden crates, and tree stumps. The arrangements had a variety of different succulents, berries, cotton, and kale. The colors for the wedding were metallics, so we were able to bring in that color through the extra candles around the table. We used a lot of different vintage and eclectic items to give each table a distinct look. Kate decided to get married on the large back porch, so the outdoor fireplace was the focus point at the ceremony. We made the fireplace rustic with tons of curly willow and succulents, and added crystals and candles for bling and elegance.

The Collins Wedding

Anna’s wedding was at St. Thomas and her reception was at the Brazos Center.  Her planner was Ashley Brockman, An Affair to Remember, who is always great to work with.  Anna’s color was cobalt blue, so we chose bright colors to complete the color and stayed away from just blue flowers.  Her wedding was at St. Thomas and her reception was at the Brazos Center.  The pictures are from Danny Boyle.  I really loved the white and lime green for Anna's bouquet, it went great with the bright colors in the bridesmaids bouquets.  Anna had a large wedding, so we had four different table arrangments and we used the bridesmaids bouquets on some tables to save on cost. Anna's alter arrangements were on either side of the alter on cream columns that I rent out to brides.

The Walker Wedding

Elizabeth and Rusty were married at St. Thomas and the reception was as the Brazos Center.  Elizabeth wanted her flowers to be in all shades of purple and we brought in a little bit of white for the bridesmaids and alter arrangements.  Elizabeth had one single yellow rose in the center of her bouquet for her father who had passes away to symbolize him there with her on the wedding day.  Picture perfect images got some great shots of the flowers.  We did different centerpieces and reused the bridesmaid’s bouquets since this was such a large wedding.  We also used Manzanita branches and purple orchids for the tall reception arrangements to save on cost.  Eliazbeth’s bouquet was unique in that we used dark purple hydrangea, dark purple calla lilies, mokara orchids, grape purple dendrobium orchids and grape purple tulips.  The bride also rented my columns and wrought iron candelabras for the wedding that added a special touch to the ceremony with candlelight.

A Little Bit of Everything!

The first set of photos were taken at the Spring 2011 Bridal Fair located at the College Station Expo Center.  The rest are weddings or events that I just had a few photos from.

This is a ribbon wrist corsage which is great for the house party!

The arrangement below incorporated yellow spray roses into the bouquet in honor of the bride's father who was deceased.  We also added in succulents for texture and purple color.

This was a green and white alter swag on the gazebo at a wedding at Avalon and the bridal bouquet is below it.

This was a contemporary table arrangement for the Grand Opening of Amazing Weddings last fall.

Bridal Fair Fall 2011

I want for a vintage, pastel and grey theme for the show.  I used lots of dusty miller, silver brunia berries, succulents, antique green hydrangea, quick sand roses, and tuberose.

I love the esperance rose that has a pink center and lime green hint on the tips and they open really big and pretty.

Here is my take on a contemporary bouquet with verigated aspidestria leave, mini calla lilies, brezilla berries, spray roses, and dendrobium orchids.

I loved this vintage look with quicksand roses, dahlias, kiwi green hydrangea, and bouvardia with old white buttons I have collected on a trip for Warrenton.

A succulent bouquet with vintage brass buttons and cream features for a touch of whimsy.

A super fun bright arrangement for Thomas Ross Photography that had purple and aqua orchids, peacock feather, magenta stock, magenta tulips and purple hydrangea!  I also put brooches in it later, but did not get a picture of them.

An orchid tree with crystals

I had fun dying the stephanotis in the bouquet purple!

This is one of my favorite bouquets with the mix of pink and purple colors and the purple artichockes.

Another fun bouqet with lime green, fuschia, purple and peacock feathers!

Succulents and tuberose on a cake

These pictures below are from a bridal fair where I did bright, rich colors and lots of differnt fun elements in the bouquets to add texture and style.
